“Latvian Hawks”

Latvianhawks does take part in any major ice hockey event in Ireland, In 2007 season Latvianhawks represented themselves in both A and B division leagues. Every game was highly supported by newly developed ice hockey fans in Ireland and also large crowds of Latvians living in Ireland. Latvian Ice hockey has strong ice hockey development traditions with whom we are trying to develop new generation of ice hockey players in Ireland. Our coaches  are ex pro ice hockey  players with international game experience and good coaching systems and tactics.

Latvianhawks are the winners of 2007 St Patrick’s cup.

Latvianhawks are welcoming any person interested in Ice hockey or just learn how to skate to they training sessions for better understanding of sport and traditions.

In season 2008-2009 Latvianhawks will take part in Celtic cup tournament one of Scottish ice hockey newest Tournaments, including games in Scotland and Ireland. Aigars Brencis born in Riga 1982, started play hockey on age 7 in “Dinamo” hockey school, former player of professional team RIGA 2000, HK Zemgale/ASK and HK ASK OGRE in Latvia extra league and Eastern Europe league, played in team Latvia U-18, U-20 and one challenge cup for team Latvia senior team. Now Aigars is “Latvian Hawks” head coach and player.

Viktors Serdjukovs born in Riga 1981, started play hockey on age 7 in “Dinamo” hockey school, former player of professional team “Liepajas Metalurgs” in Latvia extra league and Eastern Europe league, played in team Latvia U-18, U-20 and one challenge cup for team Latvia senior team. Now Viktors is one of the best Latvian Hawks offence players.

Janis Kipars born in Talsi 1982, started play hockey on age 9 in THK hockey school, former player of LB Essamika team in Latvia extra league. Now Janis is one of the best Latvian Hawks offence players and coach assistant.
Viktoras Vaiciulionis former Lithuanian National Team player for many years and now he is the best defensemen in team Latvian Hawks.

Mark Bowes born in Dublin, former Ireland National Team player for many years and now he is the one of best defensemen in team Latvian Hawks. Also General Secretary of Irish Ice Hockey Association
There is now many more former professional players of different nationality’s joined our team for next season.
